Our Cosmetology program combines classroom learning with supervised, hands-on training in a real salon setting. You build the technical skills, creativity, and business knowledge to start your career, and you prepare for the California State Board licensing exam.
From classic cutting and color to the latest techniques, you practice on real clients in our student clinic under instructor supervision, so you graduate with the confidence to work behind the chair.

How many hours is the Cosmetology program?
The program is 1,000 hours, the amount California requires to take the cosmetology licensing exam.
How long does the Cosmetology program take?
Full-time (Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) takes 7 months. Part-time (Tuesday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.) takes 9 months, and our 3-day part-time schedule (Thursday to Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.) takes 12 months. Hybrid length depends on how many on-campus hours you schedule each week.
